Another Life

The years are fast, but the days are slow, or something like that.

Time is relative. It can fall through your fingers like sand or float as it falls like snowflakes. It depends on your perspective and what you are paying attention to.

Are you longing for some moment in the future, or are you noticing the next breath as you breathe it?

It’s curious how our conception of something like time is so individual. It’s based on a story built by countless narratives. What did your parents teach you about time? What have your success and failures taught you about time?

It is our greatest resource, the only thing in this world that is truly equal. We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Circumstance may impede on that same 24 hours, but we decide how we direct our attention.

We all have a choice in how we perceive time. You could say we are running out of time as our life goes on.

But maybe if we are more mindful of our attention, we will find another life.
