Three years ago, I started a blog in an attempt to use writing to get over my fear of putting my thoughts out into the world. It didn’t last long. I wrote only a few posts before I quit. I wasn’t ready. I wasn’t prepared to do the work. I didn’t believe that I had anything to say. I didn’t trust my own ideas and I didn’t know myself well enough yet.

The most important thing is curiosity.
If you are curious enough about life and the seemingly endless complexities it entails, you will never stop finding things to pique that curiosity. It took me some time to rediscover an interest in reading, but I’m extremely happy that I did.
Reading has once again become a mainstay of my daily life. In a world with so many forms of entertainment and distraction, it is easy to forget how wonderful it can be to get lost in a book. And when it comes to learning and understanding, the written word is still the most visceral way to convey ideas.
Nothing creative will ever be perfect, and that is just something I need to accept. I might not be able to express my ideas as well as the writers I admire and respect, but everyone has got to start somewhere. I need to embrace the ups and downs and keep moving forward.
